Welcome again to the Colored Pencil Challenge !
This two weeks I picked Fire ...a match .. I love the colors and the movement of the colors along with the fact that if you are slightly off it makes no difference still will look like a flame
I am hoping this one is easier then the past Eye that I chose but I still want to leave it a bit of a challenge .
Tip : What I did was outlined the match ...then began to fill that in with layers ...the black paper worked well for this as it provided me with the black back ground and Prisma pencils lay well on black .. some other pencils may not so white paper will need to be used ...but dont worry about drawing a black background unless you want to ...Also once the match was done and I was coloring the flame .. I let it mix over the top of the match to try and have it blend well and look like the flame was coming from the match .
I hope you enjoy doing your flame as I did

Ohhh this is beautiful...and I really like your rendition of this.
If I have time, which I really hope I do (and if I don't I'll do it later!) I would like to get into doing this piece...you are right, the color and movement in this is beautiful!

I can understand with all the different threads and the trading cards going on .. I just like to post a image that I feel has some challenge to it ...to save it and do it later is fine

I only have 12 prismas and a few Conte pencils and my blue scanned green.. All in all this was fun but not easy. Even though it doesn't look like the picture, here's my match..

I think its a fine looking match .. like I said it really dosent need to look just like the photo as all flame is different and I think your flame is very awsome ..nice bright colors ..well done hun .. and to takel such a drawing also is something to pat yourself on the back for .
The images I post I try to make as challenging as possible .

I liked this challenge a lot!!!!!
I think there's too much green though, because of the yellow and black blending.
The little bright thingies on the head of the match, are very difficult!!!!

This is my flame....
I don't have black paper, so I painted a white sheet of paper with black ink.
But... The quality of paper was poor... It was hard to get values and right colors...
