Hi every one,

welcome to Snoopy 101 Holiday challenge my name is Brian David your host. Though I am no expert on this...

IPB Image

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, In the lane ,snow is glistening

A beautiful sight, We're happy tonight, Walking in a winter wonderland.

What a wonderful and beautiful song I always enjoy hearing this time of year...Winter Wonderland. Composed by Felix Bernard with lyricist Richard B. Smith... was first introduced and published in 1934.... this song became a very popular hit.... For myself and I am sure many others the lyrics of this song undoubtedly have a magical vision of snow with tradition of building snowmen and magically turning fantasy into reality by creating a real winter wonderland.

My Challenge

Create your very own Cartoon winter wonderland drawing. This drawing could be made up of for example Snowmen, Snow ,Santa Claus , Reindeer , Family or kid characters or any thing you wish. For those who would like to draw a classic wonderland scene...such as Disney Christmas or Charlie Brown Christmas please feel free to do so. You may also want to add some creative writing or text.

Please feel free to use your computer for text or coloring but please post your drawing as well. I hope you all enjoy this challenge and I wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season. smile.gif

Best wishes, and Happy drawings.

Brian

Oh Brian,

There is no snow here ! I have been creating Aussie Xmas ATC's in the swap - but there is no way I can even contemplate a snowy day when it will probably be humid and 102 deg F on Christams Day.

Thanks for the thought but my snowman would be a disappointing puddle (oooh now there's an idea! tongue.gif )

If you don't mind them melting I'll put my thinking cap on.

Hi Sue!

I think I would probably trade you a hot day for one of our Canadian cold winter days... laugh.gif Sorry....

but hey.... we can all still draw snow..

I look forward to your drawing... smile.gif

This is a caricature Xmas card I made to send to my family and relatives. It's based on a 1971 Christmas photo. In the photo are my three sisters and myself. Each person is proudly holding his/her favourite toy. I have attached the caricature card in coloured and black and white. The original photo is also included. Sunmi, my wife, prefers the b/w version over the coloured one and I agree. Hence, I think I will send the b/w.
Brian David Dekter
Hi trying I absolutely love this Christmas card....I find caricatures not easy to draw and this is fantastic....Hmmm I kind of like the color one too...I am curious how you colored it ? Thanks for sharing this for us to see.

Brian.

HA HA! this one is for you Brian!

(and for all of you who don't know, Tim Allen played santa in the movie "the santa clause")

Hello Brian and thank you. I coloured it using sharpie markers. Many b/W caricatures are done with black sharpies.
Brian David Dekter
I.D this is so cute.......for me...i'll take it.. wub.gif thanks, I know him mostly as Tim the tool man.. smile.gif

Trying that is really good for Sharpie markers...I have a set but I prefer Prisma markers...I also hear copic markers are great for Cartoons and caricatures.

This looks great but it is a little difficult to see the lines. Can you darken it with heavier tone or colour it?
