I will post my WIP as I progress with it.
Let me first appologize for being away for so long. I have had a crazy month or so here as of lately. Anyway, I am working on a picture that I will be selling as a print here locally. If any of you are from the states that make up the SEC you will understand the true rivalry Kentucky has with everyone. So I making the UK wildcat sweeping up and throwing out the SEC mascots. I am hoping to have this done by christmas. However, I do need a little help. I am not sure if legally I am allowed to draw these mascots. Do I need permission? I just don't know?
Here is my very, very rough draft of the pile of mascots the wildcat will be throwing into. comments are ver welcomed. Keep in mind. First draft and bad scan. Picutre looks horrible. Plus I am not going to color anything until it is done and ready for print. Well tell me what you guys think.

Well, I'm not a lawyer and my comments should not be used in place of proper legal advice.
You appear to have both mascots and logos in the drawing, which could be a problem. The mascots themselves would likely be covered under fair-use as satire. The logos however may not be, instead they may be classified as a derivative work en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derivative_work also artslaw.org/DERIV.HTM (I can't seem to post the full links, but you should be able to copy/paste). In that case you would have to get permission from the copyright owner. I don't think any school is going to slap you with a lawsuit for one drawing, but it seems like everyone is sue happy now so I wouldn't bet my life on it. It may be best to leave the logos off.
That said, if you decide to use it as is I wouldn't loose any sleep over it, you don't have to look hard to find people selling unlicensed merchendise.
Hope this helps

I know it has been awhile since the last update, but I have been extemely busy at work. 15 hours a day!!!
ANyway. Here are some recent updates to my print. I hope you all can make heads or tails of them. The print is going to be 20" X 24". So my little 8 1/2" X 11" just doesn't quite get it.
And please, by all means, let me know what you think. I do need some help on rendering the folds in the cats pants. (Where and How) If anyone could offer some assitance.
Thanks,
Travis
