I just uploaded some pictures into my gallery, and I noticed one of the options says 'pin'. What does that do? Sorry, I'm still new here. blush.gif

Pinned pictures will stay at the "top" of your gallery.

I have several pictures that are "pinned" and I would like to "un-pin" them. Can't see how to do that....

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks.

At the bottom left of the gallery page is a box that shows Pin ...click it and it opens and you will see unpin smile.gif

Ok I feel really dumb now.

I have 6 images pinned in one of my albums. I'm not sure how going to the gallery page is going to lead me to those 6. None the less, when I do go to the gallery page, I do not see anything to do with "Pin" down in the lower left hand corner. My gallery page has a "Language" selection box at the lower left of the screen.

Can you give me another shot at this? I am paying close attention.

Phil

Mine shows language also ...now just above that is another window that has pin on it .. maybe yours displays another word like unpin .. click on it and see what happens ....I am a Mod but i do not think that makes a different at all .

Thanks, Kim.

So sorry, but that is not on my gallery page anywhere. I see the 5 most recent artwork and 5 random pieces, followed by some information about who is on the site currently, etc... But there is no "pin" on that page.

I can tell you that I "pinned" these well before the new site interface was introduced.

Perhaps this would help. I can not find/see how to "pin" one of my album pictures either. Perhaps if you show tell me where to go to pin a picture within one of my albums then I will see where the option is to "unpin".

Many thanks for your help.

Phil

I"m a moderator, and I don't have anything in the lower left corner of a gallery page, either, so don't feel bad smile.gif

For me, there's a menu to the right of the picture. It's right above the box that says "Image Description". It looks like a button that says "OPTIONS". If I click it, I see the following options:

Pin (or Unpin) Image
Unapprove Image
Edit Image
Move Image
Delete Image
Report Image

Now, since you're not a moderator, you might not have all of these options. I know some people have reported not seeing this menu at all, and I still suspect this has to do with your browser version -- if you have a very old web browser, or have Javascript turned off, you probably won't see it.

Anyway, that's how you unpin an image.

Thanks Ernest.

I have attached a screenshot of what I see when I view images in my album...

Maybe I am missing something obvious.

OK, that's the right menu; mine has more options. I'll see what I can find out for you.

Thank you, Ernest!

OK, well, as far as I can learn, the "Pin/Unpin" feature became a moderator-only feature when the board software was installed. I don't know of any reason why this has to be the case; I will see if I can find out why this happened. In the meantime, if there are any specific pinning/unpinning things you'd like done, let me know exactly what, and I'll do it for you.

Thanks a ton, E.

Can you just unpin the few photos i have pinned? I think there are 5 or so.
No worries if you don't get to it.

Thanks again for the support.

Phil

Done. Looks like your most recent work is on top now.

Thank you, Ernest. Sorry to have put you through all that.

Much appreciated.
