Hi all, before I start I just want to say this is not spam I'm just putting forward my idea.

Well basically I am thinking of creating an online shop specialising in graphite drawing, it will have all of the products needed by artists and also feature reviews of latest products ect. It will be based in the UK but also ship overseas.

Just as some reseasrch how many people would use it, and also please could you let me know some suggestions you may have.

Thanks wink.gif

I would suggest that your sales would be limited, if you are relying on this as a source of main income, you are being too specialised, but becoming less specialised would put you in competition with bigger and well established companies, tough one to call!

Its not going to be a main source of income, just a side line hobby to keep me bussy. I have all of the web coding skills to make the site myself so I dont need to spend any money in that department.

Then it sounds a good idea, your profit margin could not be set too high as your unit costs would be, assuming you would not be able to buy in bulk to keep unit costs down. All the best with your venture, to answer your original question, I would be interested in purchasing from you provided it worked out more cost effective than buying from local craft dealers.

Well, as i am doing it as a side hobby I can keep the profit margin extremely low... Meaning I will undercut all other shops. I am currently speaking with derwent about buying from them.

And thanks for your support wink.gif

Your probably not allowed to advertise on here, but if and when you get up and running drop me a personal message, thanks.
