My wife has been showing off my art to her friends, and i was asked by one to do a portrait of her daughter. I asked for a reference photo to work from and this is the result. Though i was not entirely happy with it, my wife's friend adores it and it now has pride of place on her wall.
By the way Gracie is the girl on the right, C&C welcomed.

I did not get paid, but she did take me for a drink!!
I didn't mind doing it as she is a good friend, I consider it good advertising to get my work seen. Thanks for the comments glad you like it.

I know how hard it is to get a good portrait in watercolor and you've done a beautiful job of it! Congratulations! Pretty soon you'll have people lined up at your door wanting you to paint their portraits!

Very nice RJS. You've captured the moment very nicely and kept the expressions of the girls' faces realistically believable. As Calvin mentioned, they must be up to something. I am sure the girls were tickled pink to see what you had done of them. As always, you are full of surprises and i simply marvel at each piece of work you submit for our viewing pleasure.

A very nice double portrait. I love the gaze of the subjects, with one looking at the viewer, engaging them, and one looking off the canvas creates intregue and makes the painting more than just a nice picture.
Very well executed technically as well.
