Hey boys and girls. I have been given the daunting task of painting not one but two things to flank an existing acrylic print of a storefront window.
While usually I'd be more than happy to do a commission this one is especially daunting as it is for the (somewhat elderly) grandparents of my boyfriend.
I have no problem coming up with one painting but Ive always had trouble working in sets of two.
Here's what I have so far:
1 B&W watercolour of a 1930s flapper (that can be viewed in my gallery. Check it out, I love comments!)
Lots of ideas ranging from playful and colorful cupcakes, to black and white streetscapes to silhouettes...
I'm working with a limited size here (no bigger than 8 x 10 and hopefully smaller) which makes it twice as daunting. The existing painting is full colour 1930s-ish parisian cafe's and such so I would like to do something along the cafe theme.
Any suggestions would be welcome and appreciated.
