Depends on what you want and where you are. I have used dixieart.com for airburshs and paints (call them don't use the site) as well as jerrysartarama.com for some picture framing equipment. I have been to a Dick Blick store (lord have mercy what a place that is!) I would think the website is fine to use. If you are outside the USofA not sure what sites ship over the boarder.

Just don't use ASW (Art Supply Warehouse). I ordered my holiday gift from them a 120 Prismacolor colored pencil set in a wooden box. They sent it separate from the rest of my order, not telling me. When I sent an inquiry via e-mail and called customer service to get clarification, they did not respond. I did receive what I ordered. But the box had 2 colors missing and another 2 were duplicated. Once more I both e-mailed and called customer service. I did get an answer that they would just send me the 2 missing colors in the next couple of days. It's been 3 weeks. Once more I have contacted them via both e-mail and phone. So far no reply. So, bottom line, their customer service isn't customer oriented.

If you do an online search you'll find many many sites to order from. I have ordered from CheapJoe's and Blicks without problems and I'm in Canada. I have also used Curry's and Aboveground Art both in Toronto successfully too.

It does really depend on where you are located and what you want. Watch shipping charges and hidden costs as they can escalate costs in the end.

Why not try Sue Warne at www.ayoubart.co.uk. She ships Worldwide, and can guarantee satisfaction.
