[attachmentid=8381][attachmentid=8380][attachmentid=8380]Happy New year everyone.
I hope that you all had a very delightful season, with lots of the good things that life has to offer at this time of year.
But it's over and I was wondering when the next ATC will be as I am ready to start the fun. Enough of the turkey, candlelight and eggnog and hugging and kissing, LETs GET BACK to CREATING ART!!!! I hope there are other people out there that feel the same as I do biggrin.gif

Cheers

That is the most adorable photo with kitty resting on the mouse. I don't think I can join this one, but maybe the next.

some people have not even recieved all the last cards from the trade .. I hope we do not have too many people in the trade and its too much work for some to do 12 cards and get them out on time ....maybe me and ernest can figure out a good number for a exchange and have a send out date .

I love the kitty/mouse photo too. Adorable!

I also enjoyed the Christmas artist card exchange, though I am still missing one. Maybe it would help to give people a specific date to shoot for for mailing their cards.

I'm up for the next one whenever everyone decides its time. biggrin.gif

It seems that 2 of mine from the last swap haven't arrived - Paulette's was the first I noticed and I can't see on the thread that Katie got hers??

This is the first swap either here or WetCanvas that I haven't had cards arrive ( on WC one of mine apparantly arrived with the envelope looking like a rottweiler had mauled it but the card was OK - PHEW!!).

I am wondering if they have gone into the black hole that we know is in the Post Office basement somewhere or if they have been delayed by the volume of Christmas mail ??? (Please let me know if you want me to redo them if they don't arrive soon).

Made me think that perhaps if we do the Xmas swap this year (I know long way off) so that they are all posted by the 1st of December - then there is probably less chance of it getting delayed (I posted some late blush.gif ). And then we can all concentrate in December on our family celebrations and our on our Secret Santa's Pics of course...........mmmm............... now what do I want for next Xmas tongue.gif.

I think that the timing was bad, but I agree that 12 is to many people , maybe just stick to 10 it seems to be do-able, for me at least wink.gif

Sue, I am sure it will show up. smile.gif
I know I sent mine late so people should be getting them, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Just an observation here....12 is a great number and you can go to 25 or 30 if people want to participate. BUT you have to increase the time frame for people to be able to achieve the work. So if, for instance, you have 25 people doing this, allow 3 months for people to complete their drawings without feeling rushed.

Everyone has a life to lead and can't mass produce cards or drawing fatigue will set in quickly, especially for those working as well as drawing.

Also the same people may not want to participate over and over in quick succession. That is another recipe for disinterest setting in. Expand the time frame, ensure that those participating MUST be prepared to follow through to the completion to avoid disappointment and remember to have fun!

When I started this initially, it was a one off. It was not intended to be an ongoing monthly trade. Now, of course, this can happen, but I do believe that you won't get the numbers of participants if ATC trades are done too frequently.

Just my two cents worth! smile.gif

You can also split the swap up into 3 groups. That way, a bunch can participate and still have a manageable workload.

my worry is that people do not know what they are getting into ...I have been ask to do yet another trade and I myself love them and put time into each card .. matter of fact many times I try to make them personal for each one if I know there likes and dislikes ...to some they get excited but do not know what they are signing up for .. I do not mind having the trade as often as people like but I want quality work ..its not how well you draw .. but are you giving your best effort.
