Hi Everyone,
Sue, I got your card today. I love the golden flower and red color background. Lovely Acrylic painting.
I like the paper which look like the card. I used watercolor paper but not that thick. May be next time I will try the paper you used.
These are front and back of Sue's valentine's day card and I like the informations on the back.
My first card from drawspace. Thanks Sue.

Good to know some of mine have arrived . I have received Lily's card too.
For some reason I haven't been getting notices of activity on this thread, so I popped over to see if we were all holding our breath waiting for them to arrive, and there were a number of comments. Will have to keep dropping in regardless of notifications.
I plan to keep all mine and post them all together once they all arrive.
The ones that have been posted are all so good with some very original ideas in there, its hard when you think its all beenm done before but everyone has great imaginations and skill.

Ok, here are my ATC's, I started them and finished them all today. I have been fighting the nasty flu since last week, along with having two lil ones down with it too. Hopefully, we will all be back to 100% better in the next day or so. The cough is horrible!! I know these aren't my best work, but I kind of like them all. Plus, I suck at drawing small...LOL..
Also, I have already recieved as of today 5 of them and will get them posted as soon as possible.

Hi Sue,
We live in kind of an out-of-the-way location, and I noticed in the last trade that I got my cards later than other people did, so I am not too worried yet. Or, it could be in one of those stacks of mail in the living room. I will check again later.
I will let you know.

Hello Everyone
I have a funny little story that I would like to share with you all, it might make you chuckle.
this story starts 2 weeks ago, as you can tell I have become very addicted to these card exchanges, I really love getting them in the mail, and being part of the very creative group as we are.
The situation is I take my dog for a walk every morning in t the ice and snow,I walk past the post box 2 times every morning and I have been waiting for the cards to start to arrive with great longing. Well the morning my husband went back to work, he checked the mail, he works out of town for 2 weeks at a time. He toke the only post box key with him, that was the 26 of Jan. I had put off checking the mail because I had forgotten the key when I went by the box in the morning for a few days. But when I saw everyone else was getting theirs, I knew that there must be one int the box by now, so I looked for the key, all over the house, the garage, the car desparatley trying to find the key, and I walk by the box 2 maybe 4 times a day.
I am getting pretty desperate, the key is lost and I know have cards by now I am sure of it. I toy with the idea of breaking into the box with a screw driver. I could call in sick and wait for the posty,no bad idea!
I could just have a new lock put in, did you know that it's $65 for a new post box key. I tell my husband Rob what has happened, he says I have the key

, so we arrange to each drive 2 hours to meet and exchange the key, but in the process of the visit the key is not exchanged and I am half way home before I remember
THE KEY!!!!!!!

Well my daughter toke pity on me today and drove 4 hours with the KEY . She waited for me to come home from work and we walked together to the post box and got the mail
I had foru beautiful cards in the box and I am very happy indeed, the first thing I am doing in the morning is making 4 more keys for that post box
I am a very blessed woman, I have my card and a family that understands my addiction
I will post all of the cards together when I have them all
Cheers

Well i'ts nice to see that I am not alone in this addiction, I guess that I won't tell you about a website that I found that is only trading cards!!!!!. well, ok twist my arm the site is ATCards.com have a look at it.
The formate is a bit different, you make up 3 or 6 and send them to one person who gathers them all togethr and them sends you 3 back.
There are many other kinds of exchanges as well.
But is is nice to make a card for someone that you know (sort of).
See you rhere -if you have time that is.

Gretchen, I have seen that site but I didn't like the idea of someone else deciding what to do with my art, I feel I like to know who I am creating for and try to put something in for them. Oh and thankyou I recaived your lovely card today (and the Faeries at the bottom of my garden send their love to Tilly - they are nosy and wanted me to ask if it was short for Matthilda??).
Miranda - thankyou for the card and the cute little puzzles!!
And Kim you aoutdid youself with the Valentine's note.
I know it's all a mystery to those who haven't seen them - but you'll just have to wait till I get them all and post them together.

Dearest Friends: I am back from Nicaragua and it was an amazing experience. The art workshop I did with the 30 women went very well. I ended up calling the project, "Unmasking our Pain/Revealing our Power. Each woman made 2 masks and they were displayed at the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Summitt in Managua. I fell in love with everyone there and will feel forever humbled. We visited a dump where families live and a couple's home who have taken in over 30 unwanted babies. I got to hold one and rock her and change her diapers. It was a trip filled with amazing beauty and the tragedy of poverty. All your prayers helped, for I survived giant tarantualas and 90 degree weather. Now I am back home with 10 below. What a shock to the system. I was able to get on the internet there and looked up all the valentines. It made me feel so good to see them all and read what you all said. When I got home, I found 6 valentines. How sweet it was to send them to me when I could not reciprocate. Here are the ones I received from Jeanne, Marilyn, Venus, Kim, Suzanne, and Gretchen.
I will share pictures in the Inspiration Gallery. Am working now from a photo at the people's market.
Love,
Judyvan

Judy, glad you made it back unscathed! And you are welcome - I thought you deserved a card because your heart is most definitely in the right place.
Stacey, there is usually a notification comes through at the start of a thread - so you should keep a look out for one. Also keep looking back here because quite often at the end of a swap the gang discusses a few ideas for a new swap - and suddenly - voila! The new one is born.
I'm glad it got there Marilyn. Will keep an eye out for yours - am waiting on 3 altogether then I will post them all.

They have 12 step programs for things like that, Gretchen !!!
Mind you I am not far behind you in my addiction - have to admit to being involved, on Wet Canvas, in two postcard size swaps (each with 20 - 25 people) and an ATC swap with 20 people, oh yes and the single card Easter swap
I am Sue and I am a trading card addict................
Yes, there is a 12 step program and here it is:
Step 01 - admit you have a problem
Step 02 - ask for help
Step 03 - accept said help
Step 04 - reduce the amount of cards you draw/receive
Step 05 - avoid trading cards for 24 hours straight
Step 06 - avoid trading cards for 48 hours straight
Step 07 - curl up in front of a good movie
Step 08 - send family members out for chocolate, icecream and/or cookie dough
Step 09 - receive an intervention because you stopped smiling
Step 10 - draw a card for everyone
Step 11 - deliver each card in person and show of your new smile
Step 12 - throw out the 12 step program
So print it off and go straight to step 10! (I was gonna suggest skipping to step 12, but where's the fun in that?)
I hope all your cards arrive soon cause... I wanna see them all posted! So curious...

If you look very carefully in a tropical garden you will see the poor things trying to stay dry in the wet season by hiding under elephant ear leaves and large palm fonds.
Every morning though you can see the little shiny areas where they have sprinkled faery dust into the cobwebs that glisten in the morning sun.
