Wow, I can't believe it. We live pretty close to each other. I live in Newfoundland too, in Paradise. I'm 15 and an aspiring artist, I look up to talents such as yours with wide eyes. Thank you so much for this site, it's helping me keep out of constant trouble. happy.gif

This was a very inspiring first step! This lesson made me want to get right to it! It shows people that talent is not something you are just born with, so if like me, you felt like talent just wasn't you, this lesson will let you see that anybody can be an artist! cool.gif

smile.gif We are all unique! Welcome to Drawspace Princess. I hope you enjoy it here. One of the best ways to improve is to join in with the weekly challenges, or maybe an ATC trade. There's one about to kick off now here. Why not join in? You'll make lots of friends very quickly, and you'll get lots of artwork from people around the planet! smile.gif

on this issue I think the art is the main picture to start from scratch and know the terms and create a drawing power as well as symmetrical or asymmetrical in that art is important throughout the world and to make drawings that are a Imagine leaving the inspiration.

I enjoyed the article by Brenda Hoddinott. It has encouraged me. Her drawing of the two young people was so lifelike. I think I used one of her how to draw books. Thanks so much for this website. I appreciate it!

I joined this site last year and have not taken advantage at all... I intend to return often. Well, I am sending my sister here to get acquainted with her artistic side.. I am very pleased that drawspace is thriving.

I happened to stumble upon this article while looking for beginners drawing tutorials. I always had the mindset that drawing was a skill or "Talent" that you were born with. You're wonderfully written lesson, not only has given me hope, but inspiration to really start to learn techniques to help me excel to a level where I want to be. I just wanted to say THANK YOU Brenda, This lesson has given me much much more than you could imagine. Going back now to read over this again.!

Loved this lesson so much! I have always wanted to draw and was always envious of my friends who could draw and made it seem so easy. I would try and try and my work never seemed to get better. At one point I thought that maybe drawing just wasn't where my artistic talent was. I am into other parts of art like music, dance, and drama. I've also ried to learn from my friends who offered to teach me, but time never really worked with us. So, the lessons consisted of one, with very little progress made. But, this lesson has changed my view on that! I believe that I can learn, and I will learn! Thank you! laugh.gif

A good article with a little history and a lot of "you can do it" encouragement. What a nice way to begin.

I am actually studying illustration and signed up to this site to try and keep up with the rest of my class. Regretfully I haven't spent enough time here because lately I have wanted to drop out and give up. This gave me hope and motivation, so from the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU
