I think it will earn great revenue to brenda and will give all costs for running the website.

Google ads is best thing, one banner and one text link add per page,
What do you think???

I am sure someone capable of putting together a website such as this has considered advertising. I for one am very happy she has been able to refrain from such.

Do you work for Google or do you just like slow load times and pesky ads? laugh.gif

Many of us pay to belong to this web site so that we are not bothered with ads.
I think Brenda has done an exceptional job with this site. She is a professional and as long as many of us are willing to pay to help out, we shouldn't be bothered with Google or anyone else.
Just my opinion. biggrin.gif

P.S. I Googled you!! I see there are a number of places, including this one, where you have been pushing Google ads. On a Yahoo site you said, "It's not my real name, but I will be Don Khosa"..

If you want to be an artist, Welcome to Drawspace. If you want to be in advertising, be a little more discreet.

Hi,
It makes sense. I have been here for a couple of days only and wonder who is supporting drawspace.com. If it is only Brenda, it would be fair enough to allow for advertisements.
Enjoy your day.

I'm glad there are no ads. The drawspace website is clean and neat -- like out drawing tables. It's a work of art, already.

Actually there is an option to become a paid member (I believe the subscription is monthly). What makes this place so awesome is that everyone can come and have a look and try out the lessons and such, but paid members get extra stuff, for example, paid members can download the lessons and print them if they wish, normal members or guests can't do this. I have no idea who here is a paid member and who isn't, but I get the impression that a lot of the regulars here do have a paid membership, and if my hunch on that is right, I think that should cover the website costs.

I think that all together, Brenda isn't looking to make a profit off of this website, she is trying to show people how to do something that almost everyone in the world wants to be able to do, and she's getting a lot of people hooked on paper and pencils... But when push comes to shove, wether or not this website has ads is up to Brenda and up to her alone.

I agree with you that if she were covering all the costs on her own, it would be only fair to have something like ads to help her out. If it ever comes to that she needs the extra income to keep this place going, I will gladly deal with the ads and I will gladly click them to help her out. But untill then, I think there's a bigger chance to see something added like the ripple ads that donate to needy causes, than to see actual random ads that clutter the screen and open random popups.

I agree with Lycaryth it was said really nicely..It truly is Brenda`s decision if she will decide to have ads then most of us will deal with..As for me i prefer no ads.I think there is really so much to see on this website that ads are completely useless.. smile.gif

If they have Premium Members under the blue boxes under your avatar, they have a paid membership [I think]

When I begin the intermediate lessons, I'll be purchasing a subscription so I can print them out and work on the drawings during my move to New York. I VERY much appreciate the lack of ads here. Right now this website is the only place on the internet that I truly enjoy visiting. Thank you so much, Brenda!!
