This is a quick sketch that I did of a mermaid.. Im thinking about drawing this in detail after my vampira picture - I like the idea of how I have her sitting on the rocks, but I need to find a better way of having the waves crashing into them and around her - but in general I think this might be a pretty cool idea - what do you guys think??

You've got the outline of an interesting drawing here Jimmer. But right now the waves look like stylized bars of a cage.

My suggestion would be to study some images of ocean waves or go to a beach and watch how the water behaves to enable you to create realistic wave motion.

You can create a fantasy drawing, but unless it is based on reality it won't likely provide you with the satisfaction that you are looking for in terms of realistic rendering.
