Hi, Im going to learn how to paint in acrylics and I thought Id make a composition for a painting. I got different pictures and cut out the sky, cactus and mountains in photoshop to get the right feel. Let me know how it looks and bare in mind it will be my first acrylic painting wink.gif

Looks like a good subject to start with, not much detail and only 2 colors. One suggestion I have for you is not to use pure black for the dark area. Try a mixture of Raw Umber, dark purple and maybe a little black. I don't do acrylics with a paint brush but do use them exclusively when airbrushing. Here are 2 pictures that look as if I used pure black but did not.
