I used to draw when I was a lot younger, was pretty much self taught and did ok, I played with painting a bit, and sculpture, I had some teachers encourage me to go farther, but after getting out of school, I got busy with family, kids jobs and did little to nothing in the past 25 years at lot of arts and crafts but not much drawing and very little progressing from where I was then in highschool. I still have a huge desire to take my art farther, and find that with just one kid at home being homeschooled, and a very creative one at that, that it might be a good time for me to play
. I really want to play with ink, water color, oil paints and pastels down the road but decided to spend time on my skills, first, because I also love pencil and colored pencil, and I know my skills need a lot of improving and practice.
I plan to spend a lot more time here hanging out, as I get a bit of the rust off my drawing skills, and feel a bit more like sharing
Hello Ladywolf63!!! Welcome to Drawspace. You have definately come to right community to get back into the swing of thigs. Everyone here is great and we all help each other out. There are some fantastic threads over in the General Discussion area. Feel free to start a new one with a work in progress or put something up in the critique thread for extra help there.
