I am Elena, back from China with some breathtaking views of nature.
Among them Koi fish, waterlily, lotus, sand dunes on the fringe with Gobi desert and a natural lake, pagodas.
Hope you enjoy them.

What is that place in the desert called? I feel like i've seen it before... maybe in a book or something? Not sure if I'll try yet i'm not very good in watercolour and i've been resting lately too probably because it's the end of summer I don't know. Winter is coming too soon

The place is in Dunhuang, one of the Silk road cities, the sand dunes and the natural lake are just outside the city, on the fringes of Gobi desert.

*sigh* i am really trying to get it back. i worked on two last nite of the lily with no desirable results. both of them came out horrible. i will try again tonite elena..i dont know what happened

I have tried water color and I am so bad .. the fish are really nice and I think I could do them in CP

Elena, lovely pictures! I've started one - I am posting my first stage of the Gobi desert- I think I'll try to make it better later, or try it once again - light turned out to be difficult to catch.

LOL..elena must be suffering from the jetlag, catching up on the z's...
this is it, im sorry it gets no better. 5 times and still a rotten mess.....I dont know what the h-e double L has happened, but i couldnt even draw the darn lilys.
my muse is simply gone, I can no longer draw/paint,period..

not to mention, i am sick and tired of my scanner taking something 'white' and making it such a glare it is ridiculous and it doesnt pick up light colors whatsoever, it simply skips over them/ alters them and totally just screws everything up...

Guys I appreciate your contribution and life you give to my thread but It happened again. I downloaded some Internet video converter programs and with them some spyware. I left my Pc with the boys from the university computer services. It will be ready by friday.Maybe sooner, pray for me. I am dead without a computer. Now i write to you from the university's main library.

I love what you did so far.

Kim it's fine by me a Cp work.Anything in color is great and meets the spirit of this scenic challenge. It's such a shame that I have this mess with my Pc.Maybe I will try some Cp work myself with my new 48 pieces set.

that is soo maddening elena, i just the other day downloaded a movie and with it came 39 viruses according to my windows defender. supposedly it took care of it all..i wish they could catch the dorks that do that..its like getting your new car 'keyed' in the parking lot..
