Full Version: wood decoration and pens/paints

dystopia
i am drawing a design on an unfinished wood decorand i would like to use pens to outline and shade and some sort of paint to give it color, what types of supplies/materials do i need to use to achieve this? the design is an old Sailor Jerry scooner on the horizon, if that helps at all! thanks guys!

smile.gif Dystopia, as far as inks I have no clue, but for color I know for colored pencils that Walnut Hollow Oil pencils are made for wood crafts or paper, and I know if you are in the states they have Acrylics craft paints that are made specifically for wood, because I have used them to paint on wood before. Maybe india ink or acrlic india ink would work? Go to a nearby art store I am sure they will have the answers you are looking for.
