Hello to all!

I am an artist who has worked in all types of media, but I LOVE working with pencil...plain old graphite. I have done some of my best work in my sketchbook and would like to frame some pieces. I hate to cut apart my book, so I thought I would just take some pictures of my work and send it out for printing. However, the photos come out so dull... they don't capture the richness of the original.

Any suggestions from anyone on the best way to photograph pencil drawings? Should I cut the originals out of my book?

Any feedback would be appreciated...
