It would be great to see what you guys enter.

I always suffer from what to draw syndrome. wacko.gif I spent a half an hour looking through some of my old photographs to see if any looked suitable for this contest. Then I double and triple think myself with trying to figure out what the judges want to see. Then I give up.

Counts out Canada as well...

I interviewed a wonderful artist recently, and she said, when faced with "nothing to draw," just draw "what's on the table." Her tables happen to be full of wildly colorful flowers and fruit, but anything will do. Just do it, for the fun of it. You're very creative!

MMgalitz, the Victorian Teacup, I just recently finished was sitting along on a dresser in my girlfriends bedroom that I just happended to take a few pictures of testing out my new digital camera. Then when I uploaded them, I drew the cup and kept the background of the photo out of it and did my own. Just be creative and take a few of the pictures you have and combine them..never know what you may come out with. wub.gif

I would enter but I hate uploading my artwork using JPEG.

$2000 for the category winner and $5000 for the best in show and using JPEG file format is a road block? smile.gif Wow, now that is stiff personal standard! laugh.gif

Yes it is because I take being an artist VERY SERIOUSLY. I will not post any artwork I feel to be substandard in any competition. Unfortunately, using JPG causes the image to degrade a bit.
Giuoco
Which format do you prefer then?
rsine
PNG. You get the best image quality. It takes a little longer to upload then JPG but because my artwork isn't very large, it still doesn't take very long anyway. Even on a slow dial-up connection like what I've got. But you get a sharper version then JPG
rsine
Another thing. According to the rules in the contest, you have to take a digital photo of your work. I don't have a digital camera. I scan all my work so I guess that leaves me out anyway.
Venus
smile.gif Rick a scan is like a digital photo. You could use it.

Awesome, thanks!

I've tried submitting art. I've tried using png. Then I've tried jpeg. I've filled out the form completely but they're not getting through. I give up!
