Hello, hello.
My name is Savannah. I'm a 23-year-old Arkansas girl. I've been drawing ever since I was a wee little thing, but things kind of fizzled out for me around age 17. Artistically, I haven't done much at all since then, though I've longed to most every day. Things are starting to change enough to allow me the time and resources, but I've found I'm very out of practice. I guess the only way I'm going to get back into it is to re-immerse myself in it, so here I am.

I've posted a few old, original sketches in an album. Feedback will be greatly appreciated. You may guess by looking at them that I heavily lean towards anime and comic book styles. I'm greatly inspired by Yoshitaka Amano and Japanese bishoujo kind of stuff. I suffer in the lands of proportion, though, and have always had trouble drawing hands and feet. O.o

Hi Savannah and welcome to Drawspace. Lots of people have a lapse in drawing when life takes over but I' m sure you'll get up to speed again quickly.

Anime or any other form of cartoon drawing needs a base in traditional drawing, so don't restrict yourself to one 'type' of drawing just yet. Get a good foundation in the basics. Learn to shade well, draw proportionally, work from life, not other people's work and just practice, practice, practice.
