In Luoyang, an ancient capital of Chinese emperors we visited an art shop where they make articrafts of papercut. A teacher taught me how to cut a paper into a very beautiful butterfly but until I figure that out again from my sample I will post some painted papercut that i bought in that workshop. The delicacy and beauty of it is simply charming.

They are beautiful. Roughly how big are they?
ElenaM
They are about 2.5x3.5in.So delicate.
ElenaM
and here are the butterflies. The black one was done in the workshop with assistance, the pink i just cut it for you to demonstrate the technique.Next step will be painting.
ElenaM
and here i painted with crayola markers a couple of them; I don't think I can do a good job at painting though.

ElenaM
thank you, guys.

That's really cool. It'd be fun to learn how to do the horses too. It reminds me when I was a kid and we used to cut out snowflakes.
ElenaM
Probably the horses are cut with a knife because in the workshop I saw a girl working with a knife on a papercut.
