Brenda, I wonder if you could do more cat lessons? I have only found two, and (sorry to mention it....) there are a lot of dog lessons!!!

I'd also like to know how to draw a black cat. One of my two cats is coal black, and I have no clue, other than ink wash technique, how to draw her. Can a black cat be drawn in pencil? How would the shading and light work?

yes i totally agree with her , i like to draw persian cats, and not only with pencil .

this post is a little old but I also would like to see more cats. My situation is the exact opposite of Yorick, our cat is completely white with no markings. her hair is very short so its not like i can pull the hairs with a kneaded eraser. so how to do cats with no markings / solid colors would be helpful.

Look at your cat, it is white but there are many shades of white with shadows and contours. You need the kitty to sit still for hours, or you need to take a photo and draw it from the photo. It will not be easy, but nothing good ever is!
