I put down my pencil a year ago. Picking it up again. I have grown a lot since then. Perhaps I now am looking for "A Style".

Welcome back!

That's nice to hear biggrin.gif
My pencils were tucked away for more than 2 years before I came back into it all again. That was 3 years ago now. And yes, you do grow. You see things in a different way.

For me it was a 19 year hiatus. The biggest difference I've noticed is that I have a tremendous amount of patience as compared to before. I guess life will do that to you. I no longer have to finish a piece in one day. I am now on the one piece a month schedule! Kids will do that to you too! That is, give you more patience and take away more of your time. It's a good trade off though. biggrin.gif

Thats not so out of the norm ....I have done that ...but I have to say that Drawspace has really helped me stay close to my drawing ..also I have improved and learned so much from everyone here ...even those who may feel they could not have anything to teach ..trust me there is always something to learn .
I am glad you are back ..I have viewed your gallery and you have some nice stuff so please stick around smile.gif

Welcome back, the most i've ever left my pencils is about 3 weeks smile.gif , because I have a near-obsessiveness that, If I haven't drawn at all that day, I begin to feel really quite guilty about it. That tends to get me to do the trick of "just a few lines", and draw again.

Anyway, good to see you back. biggrin.gif

I agree with you Kim... I know I just started getting back into drawing after years - and now it seem as though I have put the paint brushes away for awhile! But im sure down the road I will go back to painting and take a rest on drawing.

This is like the thread I just started, but for me I only go a few months at a time with some doodles inbetween. At fifteen I'm not exactly patient, so I often do feel the need to get pieces done quickly and, as a result, my work isn't the quality it could be. If I spend too much time on something, I get bored of it.

You need to "Fall in Love" with your subject. Then you will never get bored with it. And it will explode on your paper. (After enough erasures) LOL.
