The current NYT website has a slide show of sketches done by an illustrator at baseball spring training camps. Here are a couple of them...I thought you might want to go take a look..they're worth it.

Sorry - pics removed and cant find the slide show on NYT site today(?)

I just love the spontenaity of these drawings. They show a loose style of drawing but also an accurate, and in places detailed depiction of the players. I envy this artist as he has captured the movement and vibrancy of NOW in his drawings. Obviously a very accomplished artist. Bravo biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

That's a very nice find, looks like the artist is pretty good at doing very quick life sketches. Would it be possible to post the link to this website as well? And maybe the name of the illustrator, for copyright purposes...

Also, you may want to check out the pinned thread "To all artists: please read, Important Info on Copyright Laws" for more info on copyright laws. I'm not trying to be a pain or anything, I just know that one of the first lines reads: "It is illegal to take a photograph, drawing, or even a text article from a website, and place it on another website (or in a forum) without the artist's permission." and wouldn't want you to get in trouble.

Nice loose sketches, you mentioned that people might like to see more, but you didn't provide a link. Can you do that for those who may like to see more?

As well the copyright comment is correct. A link straight to the site instead of copies of the sketches posted here is more prudent. If you could please remove these images, just to safeguard yourself and provide a link to the site, that should be fine.

oops! (and it's the NYT web site) ---I've removed the pics, no option to delete the post(!!!)
Note: it's not on the NYT site today
also, I didn't post the link as I assumed anyone could find the New York Times site in about one second

Actually, that's just it, I didn't know what the "T" stood for... I was assuming NY was New York, but was wondering if the T stood for a baseball team name or something. This is a very international website, people from all corners of the globe have found their way here. I myself grew up in Belgium untill only a few years ago and am now Living in Canada, I didn't grow up with baseball or american newspapers.
