:3 okay my character's name is avari (means sky) and she was an angel. She looked down from the sky every day to watch earth and she fell in love with a human. This was a secret love because angels were not allowed to leave the sky but she went to earth to pursue her love and is unable to return. sad.gif but she finds many friends and gets close to the boy she watched. Her favorite part of her new life is sitting in trees and playing with the birds which seem to have an affection for her.

(Writing that backstory was pretty easy, it just all came to me as I drew. Yay inspiration!)

also very cute cat biggrin.gif

That's creepy, Jimmer. For some reason the shy smile makes it scarier that he's holding a blood-coated knife. Erm, that is what it is, right?
Like he's saying:
"Hi there, will you be my friend? You really, REALLY want to be my friend. Trust me" >:-)

Here's a little group of three characters I recently created for an imaginary band. The band is named the "Buckets" because they play in Nantucket. The image I posted here shows how I usually start with a sketch (this one done during a long boring meeting in my notebook) and then it moves into the computer, and becomes a digital illustration.

Enjoy "The Buckets" !

Another vampire. Colored pencil.[attachmentid=9463]

Here's another vamp drawing. Believe it or not, no green was actually used. I did a lot of blending and layering with yellow and various blues to get the green tint.[attachmentid=9464]

Its the little things that count. The musical note used to make the 'B' is a great touch. To me, its what makes the difference between just looking at one drawing and enjoying another one.

Thanks Lance - the "B" just kind of came to me, and I felt it was an "aha" moment at the time.
