Hello to all you beautiful artist, I just wanted to introduce myself..I have been lurking around for a few days, looking at all the beautiful and skillful work, reading the forums and just basically getting acquainted with the site.It looks like a place I will love being a part of and thank you all for having me..I live in Maine and we are quite snowed in at the moment, what better time to draw, but I must say my muse has left me..which is how i have come to be here, I was looking for inspiration, encouragement, and diversity and it looks as though I have found it all right here on drawspace. I have used both of mrs hoddinott books, *sigh* She is sooo awesome and what a bio..i think if i could spend a day with anyone it would be a skillful artist such as herself and her sense of humor is just a bonus.
I have two dogs, Oliver and Jazz (hehehe) oliver is my standard apricot poodle (I have been trying so hard to draw him, and i just cant get it) and a yorkie named Jazz (after my hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, the birthplace of jazz) ..*oh how i miss the south this time of year* (*smile*). I have a 24 year old son, *thank goodness I made it thru that* *whew* and am happily married to one of these select maine mountain men..
So I guess that about sums me up except to say that i have never taken any classes and have been doing it all on my own, i couldnt even draw a stick figure when i started out and like many thought that drawing was some unattainable, god given talent to only a few..and learned that I too can draw and with more practice and more practice and more practice (hehehe) I have gotten better and will continue to get better. I have been practicing for about 5 years and it has been a very frustrating ride because I had absolutely NO feedback and no one to turn to for more information..Until now..
