Very interesting lesson. This lesson makes it more aware of how the little detail come into play.

That was really interesting exercise B01, drawing the duck breaking it down in shapes. Been having real problems up until I found this site.

I found it a bit frustrating to try to follow the directions about drawing the shapes and putting the eye in the right spot proportional to the circle outline of the head when I had to scroll up a few pages to see the original duck image. Not a major problem--I could've downloaded the lesson and opened 2 copies of it, or 2 browser windows of it to flip back and forth--but I just wanted to say it could be improved. Not that the original duck image should be on every page, for that may waste space, but it's something to consider if you end up re-working this lesson at some point in the future.
Just FYI, I guess.

WOW
This lesson has shown me a new way to see different object for what they really are.
It has not only changed the way I draw, but how I view the world.

I couldn't find the 'kidney' in the duck. I did see an oval and a triangle though. Is this typical? Do artists see different shapes or do I need to train my brain to see something different?
Thanks so much.
(and did I reply to this thread correctly?)

I want to be an interior designer, but i thought "i can't do that, i s*ck at drawing!". I have a lot of knowledge from before when i went to senior high, so I know i have some skills hidden deep inside but i never have the courage or patiance to try cuz i always get disapointed. I am quite a perfectionist.
But then i found this website and for some reason it made me interested in trying again. The simplicity in each lesson and the non-pressure feelings makes it even funny to do this! I feel i have opened something inside of me that i have pushed away for so long. But now it's overwelming me and i can't stop to think about art and stuff i want to paint/create.
Thank you so much for an easy and inspiring site. I will gladly implement all of your lessons!
Here is my duck candle and the result of the challange given in the end of the lesson.
