I think you did great Laurie but I know what you mean.... I kind of rushed this one and I am not happy how this came out....I guess we are our own worst critiques.

This drawing inspired by Clara the text was my idea only....I was using a reference. smile.gif

Hey Clara how would you like to host that challenge ?

About hosting that challenge.......you think I'm up to it???????? That is a true challenge!!!! I guess it wouldn't hurt me to give it a try.
So do I just start a new thread or what??
Thank you for this ( I'm a bit nervous about this unsure.gif )

Lance500
It looks like poor Sylvester has finally given up Brian. Love the way you have coloured it using the darker shade of blue to show the water. happy.gif
Brian David Dekter
I bet you will do great Clara I find it a great experience and no need to be nervous . I was thinking if you like..? maybe since many may not have the proper programs for animations that you could do a two part challenge. Part two could be for Cartoon drawings....Part one for drawing animations....

I would be happy to help smile.gif

laugh.gif laugh.gif Lance I think Sylvester threw in the towel...thanks for your kind words.

My attempt at another.

Wow another lovely drawing, You are the master of cartoons wink.gif

I think that's a good idea, to spilt the challenge in two parts, I already have some ideas...just tell me one thing, should this be a one week challenge? I think it's a short time, animations can take a while, I was thinking at least two weeks, or should it have no dead line??
Thank you for everything

blush.gif Thanks Laurie ! your kind words inspire me to keep going....we miss you too... I am so glad you are back. smile.gif

Thanks Clara smile.gif I just sent you a P.M.

I thought since this is a Looney tunes challenge I would post these 2 graphite drawings I did back in 06 when I was very new to drawing.
Cyn
Well, I had to hurry through this challenge, but I am just really short on time. These aren.t very good, but I love the Looney Toons characters . Everyone has done a wonderful job on this challenge. biggrin.gif

This is Beaky Buzzard and Cecil Turtle. (They really look like my grand daughter did them) laugh.gif
Lance500
That?s a great drawing of Cecil. He looks so tired and lazy sleeping.gif
Brian David Dekter
wub.gif Cyn I love your choice of characters....these are great...glad to see your cartoon drawings again...you always put a smile on my face. smile.gif
Kaly

I agree with lance. There is something really good about them... many of the previous subject matters look photo shopped. dry.gif And If they are I would suggest that they be submitted into one of the forums that exist by the hundreds just for that.

Hi Marc.

I suggest you read and review at the top of this thread.... this is a CARTOON CHALLENGE and drawings are being posted prior to coloring or photo shop, I find this a fun way to practise our drawing skills.
Mr Ofir
I know I'm a little late, and this has been a great challenge but I couldn't let it finish without this guy:

ralphie616
I'm new to this forum and to drawing. I never know what to draw so I'm jumping at this while I can. It's Jerry.

Sorry for the poor quality all I've got is a webcam... plus i sketch kind of light

But I hope you guys like it. It's my first one biggrin.gif
Brian David Dekter
Hi all,

although the challenges never really expire... I have decided to extend this challenge to May 20th.

Mr Ofir Great to see you! laugh.gif What a fantastic version of Daffy?...and excellent how you incorporate your style into it....this one made me laugh.

Hi Ralphie welcome to the forum! and great drawing of Jerry...what a great choice of characters to draw....very well done....hope to see more of your drawings.

Brian.

Hi Ralphie great sketch!!! I am also a big fan of Tom and Jerry and also grew up with the Flintstones ... both toons created by the late greats Joseph Hanna and William Barbera...keep up the great drawings.

My bosses daughter I believe she is eight asked me if I could draw Tweety kicking a soccer ball....I did use several references...this is what I came up with...I kind of botched the inking.... unsure.gif

Happy drawings,

Brian.
Lance500
Nice action shot Brian your colouring is so good these days. I used to like Spike, the dog that Tom always seemed to have a hard time with

Brian Im liking the soccer image. Even with several references its cool to be able to draw your own unique image. So far I've just drawn exactly what I'm looking at but that will be my next step.

siksnosparnyte and showoffjg, im liking them both. I'm really liking this theme laugh.gif

I took the image from the animation challenge thread as a guide for this one:
Brian David Dekter
Siksno... I had to post my avatar after your wonderful drawing... smile.gif By the way I have missed you!

Hi showoffjp welcome to the challenge.... I am glad you came to check it out. I think you got this drawing bang on... and I like how you captured his expression very well done... I look forward to more of your drawings.

Brian David Dekter
Hi Kay,

but i am glad you like the idea..i think it would be everybit as fun as the others..dont you?

i wonder if anyone would be interested..?????????

well it doesnt seem to hold much interest..there should be at least 10 ppl so we could have two groups of five i think..only 2 others have shown any interest so maybe i should wait for another time..

No reason to have two groups; one group of five (or so) would be just fine.
oliverandjazz
thanks Mr. Hill..I will start a thread and see what happens...
Brian David Dekter
I agree with Ernest ....even one vote means a million to me Kay and we have not even asked officially who is interested....and thanks to Melinda and Kaly for showing an interest .

by the way nice to see you Ernest...I had not seen you for a while.
