Following is the eyes of my next subject. She is looking directly into the camera. Can't show the whole face for security reasons obviously I don't have her permission to show her whole face or there goes the suprise. Anyway, look at the eyes. Should I move the left to match the right or the right to match the left. Another case of wacko eyes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Calvin

the position of the eyes look fine to me calvin albeit they are a little dark in the photo..maybe lighten them a little perhaps to show the pupil a little more biggrin.gif

Wow, Calvin. I didn't know you had gotten yourself in so deep with this. I hadn't realized you made a commission with the CIA or Mafia considering all the high security involved. No wonder you're working so diligently at getting the project done. Upsetting either one could have serious side effects to your life or health.

It is hard for me to tell without seeing the angle of the whole face. I would put them in lightly as they are depicted here. Then step back a step or two and examine where they are focused. If it looks wierd, make any corrections and step back again.

Calvin, don't move a thing!

The position of the irises and the shape of the eyelids form part of the expression that creates a likeness for that individual.

The placement looks very normal and natural to me and I'm not sure why you would want to alter it. Can you explain?

Calvin I see what you mean. Personally I would go with another ref. In this I see no detail to the pupil/iris area, and being a full frontal flash it will be harder to render as well regardless. Now of course I am looking through a very old puter and monitor which darkens everything too much. To your question though, if you choose to use this then I would "drift" the one iris/pupil over a touch. Islander is correct, but you won't be changing anything, just repostioning slightly. To me.... even the other eye gives me the impression she is not looking directly at the viewer, but a more just to the right of the viewers head.

Hey Calvin,
Not sure why you would want to change the placement of the eyes. To me, it doesnt look like she is looking directly at the camera, but in fact, looking a bit to her left in a 'muse' pose. With that look I would say she had her chin resting on her hand, with a little 'Mona Lisa" smile. rolleyes.gif

Hiya Calvin,
I agree with most here, leave the eyes as they are. I am sure if the whole photo was available for all to see that her face would be fine with the way her eyes are and it gives her a unique look. (Not sure that came out sounding right) Anyways I have seen your other portraits you have done!!! Great work.
