This simple project takes you through the process of sketching the shapes of an iris, pupil, and highlight; then, you add shading with squirkles.

I think you have done a good job with this one, Well done biggrin.gif xxx

This lesson was truly amazing. I thought that it would be a waste
of time to learn but I was wrong. Squirkles really do work and
the eye looks very realistic. Thanks!

I guess I need more practice with this one. My eye still looks like a bunch of squirkles. laugh.gif I didn't do the blending of shade from light to dark to well either but shape of the various parts looks good. mellow.gif

Looks great. If you were trying to draw the light-colored eye then it might be a little dark, but this looks perfect for a brown eye. wink.gif

can anybody help me?!?!

This was pretty difficult for me. My squirkles tend to be dark. I had trouble with the lighter areas. A good exercise which I need much more practice.

Interesting technique. I used my own for drawing eyes, but this one sort of adds more personality to them. You're not perfect either, I've seen much better eyes, but you've helped improve my technique. thanks! I like your guides a lot, even tough they're for dummies hehe

I thought I would change it up a little with having it lighter around the entire pupil and a dark outer rim.

Hope you like it. Open for comments.
