In this project, you use curved lines to outline a cartoon child, and then make the hair curly with squirkles. Most ofthe illustrated steps are the same for drawing either Sam or Samantha; hence you can draw two children or only one.

I think the Sam and Samantha I drew does not look like twins.
But the technique works.....

thanks again..

Mine don't look like twins either. Sam looks younger. But girls develop faster, so I think they could be twins

.
I just want to thank you Brenda for the lovely lessons! I don't know why I still get surprised that the techniques you show work

. May be because they are really easy to be done. But the result in the end is great. Every time I can't believe I made the drawing.

I did pretty good with this one. I still need more work with the squirkling looking more realistic but I'm getting better.

My version of Sam and his Sis. Squirkling works and will be a valuable tool.

First time I shaded an entire face; I am surprised that it came out fairly OK. Now I look at real faces to see how I can correctly shade them. This lesson was very helpful. I did Samantha's nose different and figured out how to shade it all by myself. I did her hair like a lady that teaches at the same school that I do. My sister says she looks a bit boyish still but hopefully the eyelashes do the trick! Here they are:

At the beginning I was thinking I can't do this but I didn't give up. It came out pretty good for me.
I think because you explain and show everything the way you do it makes it so much more easier.

This is a great lesson! Before I admired the technique of squirking for drawing people's skin and I thought it is very difficult. With this lesson - it isn't! You need to be really patient though. Thank you, this lesson really helped me.

My twins, Sam and Samantha, look so cute.
I also saw some cute twins and Sams in this forum, congratulations to the members.
Once again, thank you Brenda, for making me feel that I have a chance as some kind of an artist.
