sorry. Bad idea!

Elena, I am not sure about copyright issues when it comes to newspaper article clippings. Yes I know newspapers are meant to be read, but perhaps if you could instead post a link to the relevant online article, it may be better.

In addition, it would be easier to read as well, as the scanned copy is rather small.

Hello Islandernl and elena,

As always it is safest to state that there are always issues with copyright , specifically when posting online as it is automatically considered published and in some cases syndicated depending on the popularity of the place posted.

The safest approach is to excerpt the article and place the link back within the post. Since this is an educational site and Elena is posting under ...commentary it would be acceptable under most law and doctrine within the Berne.... You are so right in being able to read so much easier, However I think this a good thread dont you? I mean I like reading about other artists and shows and I am weird about art history. Mr. Hill called himself a science nerd I would be the history equiv.

No, not a bad idea Elena. I think its wonderful to share information and knowledge. That's the purpose of this site.

I guess I'm just being cautious, that's all. smile.gif
