Hello there
Well I decided at the start of this new year to give drawing a try - not one to rush thngs I finaly bought a pad and some pencils mid March and got started.

A few pictures later and I realized I needed help blink.gif , which is when I search the web and found this site smile.gif

Now I've done a few of the lessons, posted them and a couple of other pic's in the gallery - I've been pleased with what I've done.

So today, with what I've learnt here I thought I'd have another go at a picture I first tried the weekend before finding this place.

Its of one of my fav's actress's (purely the acting I like of course wub.gif ) and I was most unhappy with the first go (hence looking for help online)

Heres both my first go and todays version............which for the first time I see theres a likeness too.......be interesting if anyone can guess
ElenaM
I don't know the actress but i can notice the progress in your artistic growth and this is admirable. You have talent and your practice will pay off.Keep up the good work!
Venus
smile.gif Wow, great improvement. I, too, am unsure of the actress. If she had blond hair I would guess Allison Sweeney from Days of Our Lives which is a day time Soap Opera played everyday here in the states...(LOL< yes I occationaly watch it!!)

Thanks to both of you,

Funny on the one hand I look at the pictures I've just done and wish for them to be better dry.gif - but when I compare back to what I was doing a few weeks ago, I'm really quite happy smile.gif

and it's supposed! to be Evangeline lily...........I think it looks like her anyway tongue.gif
(I'll put it down to the hair, I did have trouble and kinda gave in on it smile.gif )
Ernest Friedman-Hill
You've made wonderful progress. The likeness in the later portrait is very, very good -- I just don't know who Evangeline Lily is. Google tells me she's on Lost, which I understand is yet another popular TV show that I've never seen smile.gif Keep up the great work!

Same as Ernest, if I knew who Evangeline Lily was I certainly would have recognised her smile.gif
Nathalie Renaud
I know who she is and for sure would have recognized her if I hadn't read the thread before.

Impressive improvement.

It was funny, reading your story, I could see the exact same path I followed. I did with my cat what you did with Evangeline and yes, it does feel good to see the improvements.

I don't know the name or face either, however I don't watch movies or television much. Yeah, I live in a bubble smile.gif

I can however, see your progress which again proves that practice does indeed make a huge difference.

Just a note that unless you have permission from the individual or photographer, you should not post images online, whether they are public personalities or not. You can however, provide a link to the image on the site you found it.
Rainy
I knew she looked familiar but didn't guess in advance mostly because I only very occasinally watch television. You have indeed made great improvement. Be proud!
