So I haven't really been posting lately on the forum, cause I'm so busy, but I have been updating my gallery with some school work as I go along. I am now halfway through my first quarter and I feel like I have improved a ton (and will hopefully continue to improve). I love the feeling of improvement!
Anyways, I just wanted to post this one comparison of my gesture sketches from the first day of class and now from the eighth day (i only have figure drawing twice a week).

So my point: Anybody is capable of improvement (my first day sketches are terrible!)

Your drawings after a week are greatly improved. I can see the confidence in your strokes. Its a wonderful thing to see something move ahead like this. Well done.

Wow! You're able to get so much more information and life in the drawings now. I'm very impressed. I want to do that, too. Maybe when I'm done with the painting class I'm taking now.
Eric
I just started taking a beginning drawing class after years of not doing any drawing. We are working the basics right now, but I can see myself quickly moving thorugh the paces as well. I'm proud to see you showing your work progression with us. This is only a little more proof to the general "Dummies" and "Idiots" out there that you don't have to be one when it comes to Drawing. You have shown us with this post that drawing is actually a learned skill.

Keep up the learning Theresa, you are doing fantastic.

I'm having so much fun!

..and yes Eric, that was my purpose in sharing my progression! Hopefully this thread will encourage someone out there to take out their pencil and draw, draw, draw! biggrin.gif

and Pumpkin12pm you should take a class on it after your painting class...it is SO much fun and it really really does help you improve. Right before your eyes in fact!

Alright, so anyways, that's all blush.gif
