This is very Escher-like. I've never seen a nice explanation of this before:

Hi,
6 point perspective is a very interesting topic Ernest. I had some trouble getting my head around this. So I took your lead and looked for some more info. The best short tutorial that I found that helped was here. Now that I get it, do I really want to draw it? I think it would be a nice technique to try on the view of the Alps from my home. There is actually a web cam on the roof of the university in front of our home. We're just above it so I pretty much have the same view. I always wanted to draw this but could never get it all in. Now I know why.

Sounds like a project! Thanks for the tip.

Not to plug someone else's book, but this one's helping me a lot on perspective. While it doesn't cover six-point, it explains, very well, 1-5 point and even infinite-point perspective.

Fooling around, I doodled these little buildings in (what I flatter myself to call) four-point perspective.

This has come out great. I think this process would lend itself very well to cartoons. I will be giving this a try. Thanks Ernest
Kaly

3D exploration of Picasso's Guernica.
Guernica is a painting by Pablo Picasso, depicting the Nazi German bombing of Guernica in Spain by twenty-four bombers, on April 26, 1937 during the Spanish Civil War, in which a number of people variously estimated between 250 and 1,600 were killed and many more were injured.

German artist Lena Gieseke made an 3D exploration of Picasso's Guernica. I think this tip for review fits best in this thread.

Thank you very much for his beautiful link on perspective. It is a precious enrichment for my students and forum.
