In my opinion, the shading used on this object makes it look a bit like there is a flat side on the right, and a rounded endcap - much like an old book - regardless of the rounded bottom and top. I would suggest making the shadows less straight lines and breaking them up, coming from the far right side around to the front - that way you're not left with a distinct "line" of black separating the lighter front side of the cylinder from the darker right side.
