Click to view attachment happy.gif Hello Everyone!! I will be this weeks drawing host and hope you all enjoy the pictures. The rules are simple, pic a picture and draw in whatever form of DRY drawing medium you choose. No computer graphics or painting unless first providing a regular drawing..see can't get any simpler than that.

As for the pictures, here we go.....

1. Some sort of blue bird that was in the butterfly exhibit at the zoo.
2. This always grabs my attention at the zoo, its a georgous bear water fountain.
3. beautiful purple iries that we in bloom
4. A cool Egyptian Statue monument that was carved in a wall at the Giraffe exhibit.

Hope everyone likes the pictures and I look forward to seeing everyones work!!

THanks for lovely photos, Venus. I like the fountain, but haven't a clue how to show the water falling! I'll have a think first.

I have just been so caught up with stuff I need to do I haven't had time to draw for the challenges for a couple of weeks.
This morning I was judging at our County Fair and just got home a short time ago. I also just finished one portrait and have two more to do, as well as working on a pattern for a large faux stained glass window for my church. My pattern is ready and I'll be working on the window probably the rest of this week and more. I am also heading out of town for a few days to help my son move so next week will probably be shot, as well.
Darn anyway!! Sorry to those of you hosting - I love your pictures, just no time. I have been printing them off, though, - two from this one, too - so who knows, I may still post something to them somewhere down the line! smile.gif

Good work on the statues Clara, and I like the iris Cyn.

Now I just have to find time to myself to get one done
Kaly
Thank you Sue wink.gif

Cyn, I'm a bit like you "not very good with flowers" not even the real ones, they all die on me ohmy.gif But I love your iris, I think you've done a great job!!

Just so everyone knows, I really WAS busy this week! smile.gif
Here are a couple of pics of the final window (although still need to seal the paint and put a wood trim around the outside edge).

Faux Stained glass.

I cut the trim, nailed it up, set the nails and filled the holes and it is complete.

Lovely work - glad it was you & not me to piece that together!

I have been busy, but mine has been mostly long days at work. Hope to have more time after tomorrow (day 9 of work) sleeping.gif

Sorry, I'm late. I had two grandchildren staying with me last week, so didn't manage to get any drawing done. I did this yesterday evening but, for some unknown reason, it wouldn't upload. I'll try again. I really wanted to try this fountain.
bigs
Like the water effect that you erased !!
mumwond
I'm sorry no one else tried this one as I wanted to see how else the water fountain could be done.
