Please be fair to other people who have new artwork that they want people to view and don't post more than two images at once. It's not fair to others not to mention selfish when one person takes up the entire new artwork gallery because it doesn't give others a chance to have any of their latest work viewed. One person has not only clogged up the entire new art segment on this site but they're just random photos that have nothing to do with drawing.

Hasn't the new "Member's Gallery" area of the upgraded site solved this issue? Specifically,
this page only shows one image from each recently updated gallery. It's true that the five "most recently uploded" images area can be dominated, but I've learned to just stop looking at that. It didn't seem to me to be the problem that it used to be.

Yes - that's what I thought. I had noticed when getting on the Member's Gallery that there is only one new posted image for each artist. When you have posted one image in a day, then post a second, I believe the second image simply replaces the first one. Is that correct? I think that was a great change to make.

I could be wrong, but I believe Rsine is referring to the insperational gallery? I could see that there were a lot of pictures from the same person. They are pretty cool pictures though. I haven't really looked into posting their, or seen any rules around this gallery.

rsine the opener of this discussion is right there isnt enough time for drawings to be viewed
and a person cant get over all of the members gallery
one way to solve this problem is to post our work in a forum that will be dedicated for that and the threads will be posted for a much longer time.
replys for the work or what others think of it could be there also as a reply
the drawings still can be shown at the "new art segment" but I belive that the forum will be where all the action is

Yes I agree posting work in the forum can provoke more comments good or bad with a great deal of action. I guess it's a matter of administrative management in gallery though. Currently, it's up to the members to manage the gallery and focused primarily on the honor that members will be nice or considerate. I can see how it can be abused. Is there someone that can be the controller of this? I guess to continue with the honor system, an administrator could set limits on how many drawings or pictures can be uploaded in a day based on account. I suppose this can prevent some of the overly active publishers to slow down. For the most part, most members publish maybe one or two drawings in a day. At least that's what I've observed recently.

Guys --
The solution, as I already said, is to look at
this page (that's a link, click it) which shows just one image for each artist, the most recent one, even if someone posts 1000 images in an hour.
The list of five most recent images on the front page of the gallery area changes very rapidly, and that's just the way it is, whether it's one person or ten people who are posting. The only "fair" solution would be to remove those five images altogether.

i too thought we had discussed this at length and the problem is remedied once you get into the members gallery..the photos in my opinion are not random and they are for drawing..they are posted in inspiration and dont even show up in the members gallery. so my suggestion to you is just go to the members gallery and there you will see all new post..not to mention the link on the bottom to see the newest 25....

I think this problem has been solved when the update was made to this site, as Ernest has said if you click on the members gallery you will see the last upload from each artist, or each album of each artist.
If you want to see what was uploaded yesterday or the day before you just have to go to the end of the page or maybe to the 2nd or 3rd page.
If you want an opinion on your work, there are two threads in the forums for that already, the finhised portrait one and the official critique thread, and you can always open a new topic to ask for opinions.
As for the insparation gallery, like Kay said its not random, so if you want to view it, just run through all the pages on by one.

People at times have a hard time understanding ....most important is the issue was fixed ...Ernest has said this along with other members .....If you feel that people do not have time to see your work I suggest in getting a web page with your work on it and having a link made so when people see your posts ....IF they are insterested in viewing your work they may click on it .
I look back about 4 pages even more sometimes ..being on the front page is no special place trust me I have left comments from people 4 pages back

and none on the first page .
One more thing .......Brenda makes the rules here ...we as moderators help people follow those rules ..having a member try to set a limit as to how many images can be posted at one time.....is not really their place to do so .
