I'm paarth, from india, moved to maryland...

I liked drawing
a lot
stopped drawing for a while, like 4 years
found drawspace
got back into drawing

things of interest:
- I'm left handed but was taught to do everything with my right, everything cept for tennis drawing and writing, i do with my left. What does that make me? left or right handed? i never know

- I like drawing my hand, idk why, it's just cool
- Ican grab my shoulderblade from behind, touch my wrist with every finger, twist my thumb upside down and leave it there, flick my finger and have it keep going, (ok that was just for fun)
- I like things unique about me, I like left too. yea, just left. I like to develop my own styles for things. U can tell that from the P i have in my gallery and the "Pk" in an arrow-ish style i just made up. These things are what i care about most from being stolen.
-I like digital art, I use photoshop, messed around with painter, and want to learn 3d gfx most now, but programs are expensive.

goals-
- be able to draw something from scratch(without looking at it). If i do it now, the physics are all wrong. it looks like the persons foot comes backwards or something like that, even with shading
- be able to set the mood in a drawing. Be able to make something dark, ominous, or... well that's it i think

Welcome pizzarth .. I think you will find alot in our lessons section ... and ask questions because there are so many people here who are very good at art and love to share secrets smile.gif

Welcome to Drawspace Pizzarth!!! You sound really unique too I might add. Does any of that stuff hurt or are you just double jointed? I had a friend in school that could just rest with her ankles behind her head. I think she was even left handed. I have heard left handed people are really talented becuase they used the right side of their brain alot more than right handed people. I don't know if its true or not but hey you never know. I am sure if you take the time with the lessons on here you will have no problem being a great drawer one day. Just practice, ALOT!!! Hope to see you around in the forums. tongue.gif

Hi there Paarth, and welcome!

About wanting to learn 3d-modelling, I have news for you!

www.blender3d.org <----

It is a FREE Open-Source software for 3d-modeling. Also, DO NOT be fooled that it wouldn't be good enough, it is a very very powerful application (just select "About Blender" in the upper left corner on the site and go to "Gallery".....).

One thing to tell you though: The User interface is supposed to be a bit "strange" in the beginning, because instead of clicking on a lot of buttons and menus, the proper way of doing things in Blender is to keep one hand on the keyboard for all the shortcuts, and modeling with the mouse. Obviously, once you learn this, it will be much faster than using the mouse for browsing menus and clicking on buttons.

Also, if other people on this site has ever been curious about 3d-art, have a look!

Welcome Paarth! I think being ambidextrous is a real advantage in the world. I think your best work will probably come from the hand that you are most comfortable using.

Post your work, ask questions, join in on the challenges, you'llhave a great time.

thx, and about blender, yea i know about it, some of my friends that mess around with modding sims 2 use it a lot, but it's supposed to have a steep learning curve and with all of the hw, few games, hw, some drawing, hw, messing around with the computer, and hw; i havent had much time to check it out fully.

yea, i get that much hw <.<

2Venus, no that stuff doesn't hurt me at all, i think im gonna draw my hand in one of those poses
