Hi all,
not sure if you all know Cyn recently has been in a very bad car accident , she suffered one heck of a concussion amongst many things and is also having trouble with her left eye. She is a very dear friend and I want to send her lots of love and get well wishes.
Cyn you are in my thoughts and prayers, I wish you a very speedy recovery.

Oh, wow! How horrible. I do hope you get well.
Just out of Curiosity, Brian, do you know her outside of Drawspace? I'm guessing thats what you mean by "dear friend", and this is how you are able report of the news here.

Thanks all for sending Cyn get well wishes, some how I think this will help her recover faster,
actually aviation I believe I met Cyn in the regular weekly draw challenges when we were both very new members, and I believe the first challenges on Drawspace, we have been the best of friends ever since, and have each others personal e-mail and mailing addresses. I think the world of her , and would always consider her a dear friend and inspiration to many of us here on Drawspace.
Thanks, Brian.

I am so overwhelmed with the concern from my friends here at Drawspace... You are all so special to me. And Brian, you rascal..

Leave it to you to remember everybody, keep in touch, and let us know what's happening with each other. What a friend you are to all of us here.. Thank you dear friends..
As for the accident, (July 27th) I was sitting at a stop light and a girl on a cell phone (speeding) ran her car under the back of my SUV. I saw her coming in the rear view mirror and knew she was going to hit me, and I couldn't get out of the way, so I put my foot on the brake really hard so that I didn't hit the car in front of me.. She skidded about 30 feet (9.14meters) and plowed sideways under me. I smacked my head on the side window and it knocked me out. I have a great cuncussion and I have a pinched nerve in my lower back that goes to both legs and I was blind in my left eye for 3 days and I am slowly getting the vision back in it but I can still only half see, maybe. My kidneys bled, my shoulder is still a little swollen and my neck still hurts a little. I have lost 25 pounds, and when I am driving, I carry a notebook telling me where I am going and why, because I forget and end up at the side of the road confused for a while. Otherwise, I am fine, I think. I just don't have time for this and I refuse to participate.

It won't stop me but it sure slows a person down a little.

And I have no idea why my airbag didn't go off. The repair shop said she was all around the switch back there but missed it and tore my gas tank loose from the frame...
Sorry about the long answer. But that's it in a nut shell. So to speak..
And life goes on and I am trying to practice perspective drawing with one eye, hoping that when I have 2 eyes it will be easier.

Cyn,
I am so sorry to hear about the accident. It must have been awful, seeing her coming and not being able to get out of the way. I am so impressed that you could think of applying your brakes.
I hope you are feeling better soon and that your eyesight returns to normal. I haven't posted much lately, but do enjoy reading the posts and looking at the drawings. You are missed!
All the best,
Marilyn

Sweet Little Cyn:
I just heard about that very nasty accident. You are a real trooper, because I would be very whiney. You inspire us all with your great spunkiness. Hope you heal fast.
Blessings,

Cynn - I am so glad that you are refusing to succumb to the whole nasty thing!! Do it your way with style hun, and know that we look forward to when you get things together enough to come play again. Don't strain anything - it'll all come right in the fullness of time - play nice with the therapists
