Ernest Friedman-Hill
Hey folks!

I've been gone for a hair over two weeks now, and I'm happy to be back. My family and I went on a two-week vacation to a family camp in Vermont, to my parents' house, and my sister-in-law's house. I tried to draw a little each day, although I didn't have time to do much in the way of "serious" art. I thought I might post a little pictoral overview.

At the family camp, I took a watercolor-and-pen course, which was enormous fun. I am definitely going to be trying more on my own. This is from a photo the instructor supplied. I think it looks like Marc Brown's "Arthur" storybooks. I was thinking of bkluver's work when I did it.

hello Ernest, nice to have you back.
You were busy drawing even on holidays...I love your water colour and pen painting, I think you should do some more of that wink.gif I also like your life drawings, I especialy like your wife reading on the couch.

Very cool, Ernest! smile.gif I do like your watercolor! All of the drawings are nice, too.
I hope I can get something done again one of these days - maybe once school really gets going and we all settle into the daily routine.
I was just using the application Skype - have you all heard of that? - talking to my son who is now living in Taiwan for the next year. Anyway, Skype is really neat because you can actually talk to others just like on the phone and it is FREE!!! That was so fun! I guess you can also see the other person if you both have cameras on your computers. I don't think I have one although I might and just never knew it. I think I'll go look around! smile.gif

Love the new skills Ernest - and glad to see that you didn't forget the sketchbook! Great sketches - I think I like the one of your wife best too.

Sounds like you had a great vacation!
The sketches are great!
I see what you mean about the "Arthur"look. Can't wait to see what you do on your own.

I like the one of your wife too. It looks so natural. I've never done any pen and watercolor but yours looks so good, I think I will look into it. : ) Very nice work.
