I was just wondering if there is anyone here on Drawspace who lives in Taiwan? My son is now over there for a year. He is hopefully going to be teaching English there at the University. I thought it would be neat to find someone who lives there and loves art.

I am not from Taiwan, Barb but I read in another post you mentioned something about using skype to talk wit your son.There is also a even better service than skype. If you have a google account and email with gmail.com you can use google talk. Is excellent and I use it a lot with Europe.Google and gmail are international so is very easy to use google talk.

Thank you, Elena, that's really neat! I will get on and see what it's all about! I can't believe there are all of these online places that you can actually talk to someone FREE!!! You know, it's one of those things, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is? But apparently, it really is true!

Yeah, it can be quite amazing what you can do online for free. I think ever since Google was started they wanted to provide free services. I like Gmail because it does seem easier than most emails, you can have a huge amount of space in your inbox, search through all of your message, and I have used Google talk a few times. Usually websites get their money worth through advertisements. Googles ads are small and just text so I don't notice them anymore. And Google does have the money for that kind of stuff, given how high their stock is.

Anayway, I think it would be pretty amazing to be in Taiwan.
