Last night while checking my express mail I was inspired with this concept of rendering the myth of King Midas. The idea came from seeing a watercolor tree. Here is what i sketched on my express mail paper.

I am not satisfied with my rendering in OP. I might try other mediums and put the work here.
One thing is good in this, that i could create from imagination a drawing that represents a concept. Seems that all is required now is the skill to render that concept.

For those who need a reminder, King Midas was offered the fulflment of one wish by Dyonisos and he wanted to turn everything he touched into gold.Imagine the consequences. He was also famous for his garden of roses and I might add some roses in gold, of course to a drawing/ painting that I plan to do on a large panel with more leaves and space for a full figure.
Right now i am confident that even at this age one can still create.

Thanks, Clara, no rush; let it come naturally. I guess creativity comes with the maturity of an artist in his medium of choice, when one starts thinking independently of sources, schools, teachers and masters. In my case was an accident, i didn't intend to make it happen. rolleyes.gif
