I sent kay a email ...and nothing back I was getting worried .....gosh the thing I hate most about online is caring deeply for someone and then not knowing if they are ok ...my hopes are she is busy with her hubby ....please keep me posted if you hear anything .
I have not heard from carol either ....dang I hope all is ok .

I also am missing Kay for a while and sent her an email. So far I did not get any reply. Will keep you posted when I hear from her.

I have been wondering too, thank you for bringing it up and I hope they both are well...and missed

Just a word of caution here. While its kind to be concerned about someone's absence, be careful it doesn't go over the line of privacy. Contacting someone via telephone or personal address may not be welcome.

Personally, I'd be only too pleased if someone tried to contact me. It would show that friends care.

In a vast majority of cases I believe you're correct, Jeanette. Many people go through this drawing phase and then lose interest or find a different site to frequent, and they don't want people bugging them why they don't come around anymore. However, we all know Kay pretty well by now, and if she hasn't logged onto DS or updated her blog in 2 weeks, then either something is wrong medically or electronically (computer down). I sincerely hope she is all right, and that she'll join us again soon.

I think those that have her atc address could send her a card of concern because her address is no longer personal between the two of you or however many have it .. but to pass it out would be something I would not advise .
I will share with you that I got a package in the mail and it was from her and I just got it two days ago ...I a bit concerned because this is not like her at all ...even if she was to leave she has special friends here that she loves and adores and she would let you know ...I like others have bonded with kay in a personal way and we just do not feel she would do this without some kind of word .

I will say when she finaly is able to get back and reads this thread she will be over joyed with the friends that care .. she is the most concerned about person that has left with no word ..and we have lost many who just up one day and gone then back 6 months or so later ...that just says she is a part of this whole site so she needs to get her boot'e back !

I fully agree with you. My private contacts with Kay were only by mail, so my possibilities to get in touch are only by sending an email. I am just hoping that someone closer to her reads this and will be able to get in touch. All I want to hear is she is OK.

Hi all.. I'm still around .. just have been totally out of the loop for a while.. Work.. Art shows, Art League fundraisers, More Work and a Death in the family .. Just haven't been able to draw a straight line with a ruler if I tried.. I promise I'll get back to my DS friends soon.. Funeral depends on a grandson who is trying to get home from Iraq to attend.. Thanks to all who were worried .. Hope that Kay appears soon.. She has been the Hub of all the Froums.. I know you all miss her. I didn't realize that being MIA would be so much trouble.. Sorry..

I have tried to write Kay and I have not herd from her she is MIA..I miss her .

I noticed that Kay's address is a PO box. It could be that if one of them is ill, they've not been able to collect their mail. Hope she is OK.

I don't actually know her real last name. If I did, though, I'd try to find a phone number. I think after a month's absence - and that's how long it's been -- a good online friend could justify trying to call her to check up on her. I think she'd do the same for one of us.

Even in the middle of nowhere in Maine, the internet is just too common. There's public libraries, people have laptops and cell phones that get internet service. She was totally commited to Drawspace, participating on a daily basis, there's at least one current ATC trade that she's hosting, if she were able to there's no way she wouldn't get a message through to let us know she's all right. I'll send you a PM with whatever info I have, Ernest. She, of all people, would not mind at all a good friend checking on her well-being. *hoping for the best and to see Kay's pretty smile back here soon*

I do not save my address ...I wish I did .. the package I got had no note and I did not think to keep the address ...I was surprised to get it . does anyone have her city name and her husbands name ?

Several folks have sent me some information, and I have been doing some detective work. I have learned a little but not too much (nothing about where she's gone.) I don't want to post any info here out of respect for her privacy.

The address many of us have is a P.O. box. Several people have already written her there. Kim, I, and a few other folks are working on contacting her or her family and we hope to have some information soon.

Have been concerned as well with nothing happening on her blog.......being in another Country its a bit harder to overcome the distance barriers and the PO address.

Am keeping our vibrant little Angel in my thoughts.

Thanks everyone for your concern .. and even if her po box gets stuffed with mail I think it will only make her feel that much more missed and loved .

Steve addictive is perfect to say the least about kay ...she has a wonderful way of smiling online . When I spoke to Gary's boss he said Gary was at training but that as soon as he saw his pretty little face he would let him know how concerned we are for kay ....with him saying " His pretty little face " it told me that Gary too has a great personality ...I am hoping that gary gives my number to her and tells her to call me ...then I can call her back for free and see whats been going on .
I have shared with his boss that many here at drawspace have missed and been worried about her .

advice to all .. if you would like for Ernest or I to have your numbers just in case .. it would be a good time to do so .. I know so many people are private but we are a part of the administration team so information is safe with us ...you would want to pm it thou lol . Great news - I hope Kay has just needed a time out. I know that sometimes the world can get a little too demanding and we just need to get off the Merry-Go-Round for a bit, recharge the batteries and then dive back into the fray!

I think the ph# exchange is a great idea and I will send mine to you Kim, but I too have left intsructions with my sister to get in touch with one person online who I know will let all my friends know what the go is if I am not around for a bit.
