..and Lory the rendering was insane...

Lory, I think he wanted to say your rendering was incredible, was inbelievable. That was the highest compliment. But I know you undertood well, and just wanted to tease him.

Now let me post this one. I wanted to dramatise the face, but may be I did too much! This picture is really INSANE (in the meaning of the Harrap dictionnary!!!)

Cheers,

An

Well, I post the photo anyway. Quite different, lazy, emphasis on the" sabots only. Not so well done as Chris's. But, to participate to the challenge...

Wow nice strokes again you got there...good work though the expressions are different...

i m planning to spend some time in anatomy study and lifedrawing on a daily basis...a good understanding of that with a freehand drawing can result in some life comming out of paper...Chk out for Glenn Vilppu...i ve becom a fan o him..old fellow ..very powerful drawings..

Ya, terrible! furchbar!! Very good drawing. Excellent! I feel ashamed not having the courage to draw the whole picture. I don't think I can draw the wheel. Too difficult. Thank you, Raidor. I hope you'll post the beautiful swan here before the end of the week. Best, An

Dear CHRISMH,
What to say ? First, all my wishes to your kids. That they will quickly recover their health. I imagine you are very tired now. And I admire your work! What a beautiful artwork! How many hours have you spent on it ? I'm happy because you must really like the photo to draw it so lovely! Look at the volume of the sabots. Anh the absolute beauty of the wheel! I can't never do that. The form, the lines, the lighting, all are perfect!
Thank you, Chris ! Give us news about your kids.

Thank you very much! I've worked on it here and there this week but I just had to stop because I didn't know where to go with the stones and the basket.

The kids are doing much better today, back in school!!!!!!!!! biggrin.gif Thank you for all of your compliments.

ok- here the swan

it is in pastel on A4, like aquarell-art with brush + water

( advantage = dust is not so when the pastel particles are directly linked with water to the paper ) smile.gif

yes , at first, I have outlined with thin pencil lines of the swan, then painted the paper with pastel and then brushed with a wet brush - after the dry slightly sharpened the contours of pastel = that`s all wink.gif

the image will contribute a bit dull - the color, depending on the amount of the attached water = therefore easily treated with faded pastel + colorshaper again - especially the contours - to get back some luster in the color

It's quite good. You know, War7vian, the most important thing is the pleasure to draw. The pleasure make you progress, and the progress engenders more pleasure. That is a wonderful virtuous circle we all experienced.
Now for your work, may be a little suggestion : the back of the bird is somewhat too straight. Look at the original photo and compare to your drawing. This is just an idea. Up to you.
Hope you'll contribute with other works for your pleasure and for ours!
Best,
An

Very beautiful! You really master the colors. The lines are drawn by a pen? or a brush ?

Very nice drawing and coloring, Raidor.
Personally, I would remove the surrounding background and keep the central still life only. Here is a suggestion. You can choose another cut up. But you need to resign the drawing.

NVA
Hi, friends, I see that some of you have drawn most if not all the photos. Therefore I would like to submitt two others ones. Here they are. May be you don't like to draw photos from the meseum, but these give you the excellent occasion to understand the anatomy, the proportion and the exact feather colors of the birds.

Well...... there's not much I have to say about this one. I love the photo subject but as for my rendition of it, I have another word. LOL

I wanted to try this one so bad but this week with two sick kids, one strep throat and horrible asthma and the other with a fever for 3 days and a nasty cough. I was able to get a little time at night well.. it's now almost 1:00am in NJ. I threw in the towel.
