I am so happy to have found this site!!.. It is saving me so much money. Thanks Brenda!!. The ironic thing is my dad is an artist and I cant draw a circle!!! I just hated all the paint he had all over him when i was little that i stayed away from art for the longest time. Now I am dying to learn how to draw!!!.

Saving money is definitely not the only benefit you'll have on this site, I assure you .
My father is a musician but the discipline of music passed me by. I tried drawing but I always find myself at "square one". My mother however is a teacher so you'll find me speaking a lot arround here. Well, me and others .
I'm sure you'll find here recommendations on other art-related sites; try WetCanvas (search it by Google or simply by typing it after www.) and if you check previous posts in this site you'll find other good resources as well.

I am having lots of fun here. I think am improving a little. I wish i had more time to practice.

Orchid -

I fully understand what you mean about time to practice. I'm in that situation now.

I learned to draw in my mathematics lessons at school (much to my teacher's disgust I had a natural aptitude for maths and always finished the exercises early - leaving me free to doodle on the back of my exercise books). If you can't draw a sausage (figuratively or literally) then you've got nothing to lose - just keep a sketch pad with you at all times (it doesn't need to be an expensive one) and a pen.

I love to draw with a Bic - probably because that's how I started out in those school classes. The nice thing about drawing with a pen is that you don't care if you make mistakes, you learn to incorporate your mistakes into the image.

Just draw, have fun and it will come to you - I believe that EVERYONE can draw to some degree.
