Hi I am Sam and I am from Colorado. It is so hard to introduce oneself but I will give it a try...

I have three children a boy 13, and two girls 11 and 4; I am married and do a little bit of everything (babysit, teach sunday school, read, write and make a general nuisance of myself when I have the energy). I have always wanted to draw but before the internet, couldn't afford art classes or books and when it comes to figuring it out, I lose patience. I have all these awesome drawing ideas in my head but no way to get them out without tears of frustration when it looks nothing at all like my mind sees it. This site has already taught me so much and I even have a few sketches that I am proud to show others now! I have a long way to go yet, but the frustration is held at bay through everyone just sharing knowledge and encouragement!

Welcome to drawspace Sam. A nice way to spend your time here is to join the challenges and build your challenges album.Right now there is a teddy bear thread which will be fun to join with your little one.Draw from life. Try drawing your kids toys. There surely is a lot fun in it.

How funny I have been looking at the challenges and wonderign what in the world I was thinking trying to draw! I will give it a whirl though! Thanks!
