Hi I'm Pammy. I stumbled upon this site while looking for woodburning patterns. I can't draw for diddly biggrin.gif as evidenced by the pics I posted of a few wood burns I have done. I want to draw the visions I have wandering around inside my head. I want them to look like the pictures I see in my mind LOL and not an abstract or skewed view. Then I can more accurately put them to wood!
I have a wicked sense of humor so please look over me tongue.gif when I get wound up. I homeschool my 12 year old son so I am also going to use this site to teach him a few things about art smile.gif . AFTER I learn a bit more of course;). At this point and time my son draws MUCH better than I do. I think it is great too. He shows a natural talent that I want to make sure to help him develop to the best of his ability and desire.
I am soooo glad I found you folks! I have been reading the comments and looking through the galleries! You guys are awesome!
Hope everyone is having a joyous holiday season!

Pammy..you couldn't ask for a better site or a better group of people to help you on your journey to discover your artist side. Brenda has some wonderful lessons here on the lesson forum and she has two outstanding books. I just recently purchased her Complete Idiots Guide to Draw People and let me tell you its awesome!!! Jeanette is our Thread and Forum monitor and she knows just about everything there is to know about art so search her out and ask questions. Just about everyone here knows something or another and more than willing to lend a helping hand. Hope to see you posting!!! biggrin.gif

Thanks for the compliments! I appreciate the ego boost;) I read more posts today and practiced some more. Is it ok to post our practice for critique? err discussion? I don't mind a nice bold "Ewww" if my swan looks like someones dead duck either LOL. Oh and where do I post them...under the umm, shoot I forgot the thread name, but practice thread (maybe?) btw the only drawing in the woodburns I can take credit for is the cross and bible. I used my graph paper for the others biggrin.gif. Yeah it was cheating LOL. So far this site is Wickedly Awesome!! You guys are great and the talent is totally evident!
