Could you not make a new rule that new members have to wait at least 24 hours before posting on any forum? Ther have been a lot of spam messages on various forums from people who have joined in the previous few minutes.

It seems to be getting worse! New posts are appearing with alarming regularity! Either for **** or cash loans! I think we need a UK mod to deal with them quickly. All the mods and admins are in the same time zone, so some of these repulsive posts are up for some time before they get removed!

There are indeed technical solutions that could be put in place. I am as frustrated as you are.

Its the stupidity of it that irks me, its such a waste of everyones time. Can someone really be making money off of it, who would be stupid enough to even check into the crap they are hawking. I feel sorry for those that have to go behind them cleaning up their crap.

I stop in at least once or twice a day and delete...so you may not see alot of me but I am in the trenches too...actually Steve has a point. Most of us are in the same time zones so having someone from across the pond wink.gif is an very goode idea!

I noticed there are another kind of spam bot accounts. They don't post forum messages, but use their profile(such as "My Content") to host spam messages - then post such profile urls on other sites.

They are not as noticable as the "first message" spam bots, but I personally think they are very annoying. (Try google "drawspace showuser" to see what I mean...)

You have to remember that this is a social website. So people are out there to let us know all their information.
Having said that ....if you find any with objectionable content please pass on the member name and we will follow it up.
Short of going through each member one by one, there is no way to weed them out.
I did do a quick check and weeded out the ones that had no activity, like viewing member profiles.

I am sure much of what the administrators and moderators do is behind the scenes, much of what we do not see. I have reported a few over the past year and it was taken care of quickly smile.gif. I do thank you all(the ones that keep this as enjoyable as possible).

I've already deleted that account, and the post. The best way to report spam is to use the "REPORT" button that you'll see at the bottom left of the post. That gets the message to us quickly.
