my friends i am happy to know you care about me, i have and do miss you all, we have run into some terrible problems on our end, our home was robbed and our laptops taken along with some other stuff, my hubby was away, i was scared to come home alone so stayed up north till he returned. I am borrowing a friends at the moment so may not be on for quite some time, maybe santa will replace our laptops as we are not in the position at the moment..my husband returned to his office with a message from kim, that is just too sweet, i thank you all for worrying about me, but without pc, camera, omg, they took that too as it was conviently sitting with my ruby..anyway, i am incommunicado at the moment...please no worry,
I also possibly have to be taking a trip south within the coming weeks as my father is not well. LIfe has intervened full force on me at the moment and believe me 'reality bites'

I have rec'd emails from many, too many to respond to at once and hope this post will cover you all. i am touched to have so many care, and know that i am ok and will be back before you know it, bugging all of you

I'm so glad you are well. I was so worried in case you were ill. I know it's really horrible having your home robbed - the very thought of someone breaking in and going through your belongings makes me really angry. How can they live with themselves stealing stuff that you and your husband have worked for. Keep in touch. Lots of huggles, as my grandson calls them!!

Finally! I have missed you very much. I didn't post anything here on drawspace, nor did I write letters to you (I was sure you have already gotten a lot of them so I didn't want to bother you even more) but I was keeping an eye on the thread here. It's a great relief to hear that you are fine.
Robbery is a very unpleasant thing but hey, it's just things. In any way they would have ended in dump, sooner or later. I hope you won't get discouraged because of this disappointment.

Honey, this is life telling you that Ruby was not going to get a lot better..........I would hate to lose my computer though and that makes me determined to get all my artwork and reference pics onto disc!! At least if some little drug hungry %^%$@ tries to take my computer the things I value most on it will be safe.

And Kay, safe is what I am glad that you are - your paw people must be terribly upset with the upheaval too. Big hugs to you all ((((())))))))) - and I hope that Dad will be doing just fine by the time you get down to see him.

I spring cleaned after I was robbed - I had to clean everything that someone I didn't know might have touched......eugh!!!! I hop ethat you can do what you need to do to make yourself feel safe at home again. Perhaps a very large dog - you know the kind - one that looks like the Hound of the Baskervilles, but will lick people to death - just the bark and look will put all those stupid druggies off and send them somewhere that is easier to get into. You will of course have to make sure that he doesn't hiccough - because he could accidentally inhale those evil knieval kittens! LOL

I am hoping you had insurance .. maybe ruby can be replaced with a better bigger ruby that could be the bright side .

My sister had a house fire last christmas and she lost everything even the dog was trapped in the house ..my nephew came to me screaming the house was on fire .. by the time my husband could do anything the dog was gone and the fire trucks were just about here ...he had to grab his son and get out ...it was two days or three days before christmas ...was a shame .. but they have their lives and that was most important .

Kay, I'm really sorry to know about all the problems that you've got, but relief to know that you are both safe and sound.
It's really discusting when someone broke in; I have had the experience about four years ago, and even today I came up with the thougth of "What happened to this and this? ... Oh, sh*t!! it must have been taken during the robbery!"
